Do you want to steal Aubrey Plaza's MTV look?

Steal the Look: Aubrey Plaza at the MTV Movie Awards

Did you catch the MTV Movie Awards this weekend?

“Parks and Recreation” actress Aubrey Plaza looked hot on the red carpet, and we’re lucky enough to have received tips from mark Celebrity Makeup Artist Mai Quynh to recreate the look.

Face: “For Aubrey’s face, I began by applying mark Matte Chance Mattifying Lotion, which is great for combination to oily skin. I followed by applying mark Face Xpert Flawless Touch Makeup in Honey with the mark Foundation Brush. Next, I dabbed mark Good Riddance Hook up Concealer in Light/Medium around her nose and under her eyes to even out her skin tone. This is one of my favorite concealers because of the way it melts into the skin and blends easily. Next, I set her foundation with mark Powder Buff Natural Skin Foundation to provide enough coverage to combat the hot weather and dusted mark Bronze Pro Bronzing Powder in Pro Golden to her forehead, cheeks, and chin. I finished her face with a dusting of mark Good Glowing Custom Pick Powder Blush in Star Glo along her cheekbones with the mark Angled Contour Face Brush.”

Eyes: “I prepped Aubrey’s eyes by applying mark Please Hold Eye Primer in Light/Medium. I then used the mark All Over Eye Shadow Brush to apply mark I-mark Custom Pick Eye Shadow in Biscotti blended with Tiki all across her eyelid. Using the mark Angled Contour Eyeshadow Brush, I smudged Espresso into the crease of her eyelid and Tiki along her bottom lash line. To finish her eyes, I applied two coats of mark Lash Splash Hook Up Waterproof Mascara in Black.”

Lips: “For Aubrey’s lips, I used mark Glow Baby Glow Hook Up Lip Gloss in m.powerment Peach for a shiny finish.”

Is Aubrey Plaza's dirty mouth going to help MTV get tweets?

Orbit will be called upon to clean up a few dirty mouths during the June 6 telecast. Reprising its role as the official sponsor of the Best WTF Moment -- in a nod to the texting acronym, the award honors the most jaw-dropping scene from a recent theatrical -- the Wrigley gum brand will be incorporated into banter between presenters Aubrey Plaza and Anna Kendrick.

In keeping with Orbit's tag ("Dirty mouth? Clean it up!"), the actresses will present the WTF hardware with a requisite smattering of bleeped-out profanities.

As the bit plays out, both network and sponsor hope viewers will take it to the tweets, providing a real-time metacommentary on the event, the brand and the WTF honoree. (The smart money's on Ken Jeong for his naked crowbar assault in The Hangover.)

Hosted by Aziz Ansari (the comedian stole Judd Apatow's 2009 flick Funny People with his portrayal of potty-mouth standup Raaaaaaaandy), this year's MMAs are pumping up the volume on social media. First rolled out for last September's Video Music Awards, version 2.0 of MTV's Twitter Visualization platform will allow viewers to monitor tweet activity related to the telecast and the individual performers. For example, should singing pinup girl Katy Perry choose to engage in some particularly outrageous on-screen behavior with her oversexed Brit BF Russell Brand, the site's graphic interface would reflect the concomitant surge in Perry/Brand-targeted discourse.

While memorable moments aren't always planned (see Kanye West's ill-advised cameo during last year's VMAs), fans generally don't have to wait long for the first OMFG moment. "A quick strike is critical," said Stephen Friedman, gm, MTV. "Last year we saw an immediate uptick in Twitter activity after the Brüno moment, and that informed the rest of the night. Our audience is always looking for that galvanizing moment."

As viewers LOL'd over the seemingly unrehearsed meeting between Sacha Baron Cohen's unswaddled rump and Eminem's scowling mug, ratings soared. Viewers 12-34 were up 92 percent versus the 2008 show and total viewers improved 78 percent to 5.28 million.

"Social media is the telephone and we're the conversation," said Dan Lovinger, svp, MTV sales and integrated marketing. "Not only do we translate the conversation for our clients, but we're also finding new ways to leverage these social media tools to further engage with our viewers."

Aubrey Plaza presenting at the MTV Movie Awards

Sunday June 6, 2010 @ 9/8c

Aubrey's costar from Parks and Recreation is hosting...

...Who's going to be the ringmaster of this bright, star-studded happening? Comedy [king] Aziz Ansari of "Human Giant" fame! You've seen him everywhere: opposite WTF-lady Amy Poehler on "Parks and Recreation" (where Aziz turned his Roomba into a DJ); offending and cursing up a storm while doing standup on his Comedy Central special "Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening"; "Scrubs"; "Reno 911!"; "Flight of the Conchords" ... seriously, the guy's popped up all over the comedy scene.

Aziz'll keep you laughing with his own brand of jokes in between all the awards. Maybe he even picked up a few tips from his "Funny People" co-star (and last year's Movie Awards host) Andy Samberg. He also has ties to raunchy VMA MC Russell Brand, who he'll appear with in the upcoming movie "Get Him to the Greek." Maybe he'll even take a cue from his "The Rocker" costar Rainn Wilson and wear his birthday suit to meet Megan Fox. With all his MTV ties, he'll definitely be a worthy Movie Awards host.

...

Will Eminem show his face again after being bum-barded by Brüno at last year's show? Will Best Kiss veterans Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson arrive together? And who will be the scene stealer for the Best WTF Moment that your favorite Baby Mama, Amy Poehler, snagged in 2009 for her moving performance of peeing in a sink? (Oh yes, that happened). It's in your hands ... literally.
